The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has rescheduled the start of the Primera Nacional and Primera B, which will now begin on February 14, a week later than originally planned, as confirmed by the body in an official statement. The decision comes as teams from different categories are undergoing pre-season training. Under the initial scheme, both championships were scheduled to start on the weekend of February 8, seven days after the start of the Professional League. However, according to information from the Argentine News Agency (NA), AFA announced this Friday the modification of the calendar and set a new start date for the Second and Third Divisions of Argentine football. "The start date for the Primera Nacional and Primera Division 'B' Championships is rescheduled, set for February 14, 2026. Meanwhile, the start of the Primera Division 'C' Championship remains on February 21, 2026," informed the entity that regulates football in the country.
